Our Services

Design and Fabrication

We use advanced equipment to fabricate or print miniature fluidic devices.

Measurements

Our measurement services in fluid dynamics provide high-quality solutions, by using CFD, microscopy, and fluid measurements such as contact angles, rheological properties, and surface tension.

Research

We work on applied fluid dynamics and interfacial science at both micro- and macro- scales for energy, health, and environmental applications, using experiments, theoretical modeling, and numerical simulations.

Facilities

Micro/Nano-Fabrications

The Tsai Lab of Fluids and Interfaces has access to world-class research facilities at both the University of Alberta and local NanoFab. We use accurate instruments to measure the contact angle of a droplet on solid, high precision electric currents and resistance, rheological properties of complex fluids, high-resolution flow fields, and ultrafast fluid dynamics. We also utilize several local facilities at the University of Alberta for various characterizations, SEM imaging, and nano/micro-fabrication.
